Complaints

Hopefully, you will not have need to make a complaint.  However, should you need to make one please refer to the Nursery Manager in the first instance who will deal with your complaint and reply to you within 4 working days.

 

If you feel that we have been unable to resolve your complaint then you can contact the  Care Inspectorate (SCSWIS) are our registering body.

Whichever method you use to, the Care Inspectorate will deal with your complaint in the following way;

  • acknowledge that they have received your complaint within three working days
  • aim to complete the investigation within 40 working days.
  • let you know if they think there will be a delay, they will let you know and give you the reasons for the delay
  • let you know their findings and the outcome of the complaint.

If you are unhappy with their outcome, you have the right to ask the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) to look into the decision. The SPSO website has information on making a complaint and the types of complaints it looks at. They are the final stage for handling complaints about public services in Scotland.
